Lincoln, Marx, Socialism and Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh MY!!!

want an insight to my show? this is a prep text that i worked off of the other night… i type like i talk.. stream of consciousness with no regards to spelling or grammar…  i just write and then i work off it on air…. muahaaha:)….

Labor is prior to and independent of capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.”??~Abraham Lincoln, State of the Union Address, December 3, 1861.
… interesting eh? I have a friend who disagrees… he says that “Capital is absolutely necessary for businesses to expand beyond the level of “roadside fruit stand”… of course he concedes that labor is necessary to generate capital in the first place… but he says The relationship between labour and capital is symbiotic and without one the other inevitably will wither and die. It’s time, really, for both sides to wake up to this and work for common good.
hmmm…. really? labor and capital need each other? they are symbiotic? they need other other to survive and thrive… really? hmmm… lets parse this…
lets think about this so called symbiotic relationship, I submit it is a Parasitic relationship… consider this.
Labor existed before Capital, a man picks up a stick and a rock and decides to use his labor to turn the stick into a spear… he needed no capital… he needed only raw material from the earth and his labor….. so we can see that Labor can exist without Capital. Labor is independent of Capital. However, Capital will wither and die without excess Labor. If Labor only produces “USE VALUE”, or that which is needed and is used by a single laborer or a population of laborers, then there is no Capital… they USE what they produce… there is no storage of the EXCESS FRUITS of Labor beyond that which is used. SO… clearly, labor is Prior to and Independent of Capital.
Now… why is this even worth talking about? why bring this up? why did Abraham Lincoln say this in his State of the Union Address?… it and why does it sound like Karl Marx? does this mean Lincoln was a Marxist? a commie? a socialist? a RED? a PINKO? Pinko the Honest ABE? the Rail Splittin’ Pinko? Ther Land of Lincoln.. that is the motto of his homestate of Illinois… the Land of Lincoln…. what? it really is the Land of Pinkos? well… not exactly… but Marx was a fan of Lincoln… as another friend once said to me…

keep in mind… Marx saw the end of Feudalism and the beginning of capitalism and he predicted the natural outcome of capitalism would be socialism… capitalism was just a kind of a bridge from one system to the next… there is no doubt in my mind he was correct… it will be ugly and bloody and disgustingly inhuman during the trasition, cuz the capitalists and their armies will not be inclined to let the working class claw back the stolen welath… to take back the means of production or to claim their right to self goverence and self determination in a truty democratic way… free from the violence inherent in the capitalist system… it will be a battle… but real democracy, real freedom real bottom up socialism will replace capitalism… but I digress:)
so… gettin back to this idea, this truism, this demonstrably proveable fact that Labor precedes capital… and that labor exists just fine without capital but capital cant exist without labor… you might be inclined to fall for the line that without capital, we would all be stuck in the days of the individual fruit stand… one man operations, small operations, … that somehow, NOTHING large could be built. You might say hey man… we wouldnt have had the space program or the mega mall or the Hoover dam without capital… you might fall for the line that says hey man… we wouldnt have all the advancements of western society in terms of technology or in terms or economies of scale or in terms of improvements in the comfort, joy and ease of our everyday lives if it werent for capitalism. You might fall for that… many ppl do… I was one of them… I was properly educated at a good University … in the School of Business… they taught me all sorts of nonsense that wasnt true but it supported the Business Community’s worldview that capitalism was the end all be all… that Markets are Free… that it will all Trickle down, that if u get Gov’t out of the way and let buisness do what it does best then everything will be just hunky dory… ha… LOL and LMAO and, just for good measure, and because I prefer to THREE-PEAT myself as often as possible…. ROTFLMAO.
Now look… it is true that the modern era, particuarly post WW2 has been an era of unprescidented growth, expansion, invention and modernization… weve gone to the moon… weve invented the internet… weve figured out how to drill for oil miles and miles below the surface of the ocean… oops, bad example there:) … point is… weve made all sorts of advancements in technological ways… but it isnt because of Capitalism… it is in spite of capitalism… the interent? a Govt project… public funds… space program? govt project.. public funds… hoover dam? Tennesee Vally Authority? public funds… hey looky here… micro chip and computers… public funds…. umm ummm… hey what about the Wepons manufatureres? all the advancements in high tech weaponry that make the world safe for democracy? hey waht about that? see? the Capitalist lend money to the weapons companies so they can invest in Research and development … and production of the all thegadets and gizmos and hardware the military uses… what about that! – smartguy???? huh?
(buzzer sound) Wrong ! 1. the military doesnt keep anyone safe but theRuling Class 2. They keep the profits of the capitalists safe… that is thier job their function their purpose… and it is all done with PUBLIC Funds! tax money baby… your tax money my tax money but certainly not tax money from the largest corporations on the planet… oh no.. it wouldnt do for these corporate welfare queens to pay for their mercenaries, the army navy chairforce or marines… to do their dirty work… oh no… it is muchbetter for them if they just buy off congress and the president and the 5 of the 9 supreme court justices and simply use the tax code agaisnt we the people and in favor of They the Coprporations… so no no no no no… I tell you plain and simply… Public Funds are behind the majority of projects that have moved mankind forward… and behind the some of the most ruthless bassackward things such as Military Industrial Complex and the global Imperial Empires.
All things that one might point to and say hey.. look at that.. that is a good thing for society.. we are better off becasue of that… or this or the other thing… all these things that ppl say are good for us.. good for the economy good for mankind…. all of it>>> can be done outside a capitalist system… none of it requires a capitalist system. some, or maybe even MOST of these things will require excess capital, it will require stored capital … wealth that was created by labor and stored in say, a currency of some sort… but that is NOT the same as saying it requires a capitalist system… that system that allows private individuals or private institutions to peel off steal off the excess wealth produced by labor … only to then lend it back to the laboring class so they might buy some means of production… a new tow truck.. a new tractor…. a new sewing machine or to build a spec house or a new restaurant…
a capitalist system isnt needed for any of these things… and I submit to you, the world’s population would be better off without this system… the system, in its ongoing demand for infinite growth… it has to grow.. to expand… to get larger and larger… it that quest for infinite growth, it will eventually bump up against the finite resources of this planet… it will grow and grow and grow, like a metastising cancer… it will expand beyond the Host’s capacity to handle it… I submit to you, we have entered the cancer stage of capitalism… and capitalism will destroy its host… the host will die… and along with it… capitalism itself. labor will survive… wealth production will survive… the capitalist sytem will die… the Ruling Class will cease to rule… their gates, around their mansions, estates and compounds, are only as safe as the other 98 % of the population allows them to be. History repeats itself… as long as there are greedy men who create systems of power, oppression, and aggregatted capital that is used like a club to club to death the innocent population of baby seals,,,, or if that is too strong an image… as long as the 1 %ers continue to sheer and slaughter We the Sheeple… then there will come a time that the sheeple grow a pair and stand up and say NO MORE…. look at me.. im no sheep… I grew a pair of Horns… Feel the power of my Horns as I knock you off the top of the mountain you THOUGHT was yours forever… BUTT YOU, and BUTT YOU and BUTT YOU again, Mr. formerly ruling class… off this mountain… this mountain and all beneath it… this mountain and all the mountains and all the valleys… all of the palnet belongs to all of the people… YOU Cant Have 90%… Your done… join us, the rest of the world… the working world… or pay the price…

so… lets get back to this idea that capitalism will give way to socialism – as predicted by Marx -…. there might be another step here… in fact, I think for sure that capitalism, as it eats itself, will morph into Fascism… because of the virtual takeover of govt by the corporate sectors of War Profiteers, Financial Banksters, Health Insurance Profiteers, Private Prison Profiteers and so on, we are very far down the road of Fascism… Germany had its Brown Shirts… Italy its Black Shirts… and here in America, we are seeing the rise of the Teas Shirts… we saw Rand Paul’s county chairman, all 240 pounds of him stomping on a 115 pound girls head for holding an anti Paul sign.. we saw Joe Miller up in alaska illegally employing active duty military personnel as body gaurds who illegally handcuffed and detained a legitimate reporter at a public middle school who was there to cover the political debate… and now we see various Representatives and Senators calling for the assasination, incarceration or castration of True Heros and Patriots and Sons of ACTUAL LIBERTY and Freedom…. such as Julian Assange and Bradley Manning…
Make no mistake… the TEA SHIRTS are on the rise… it is early still… but if you take and honest look at the political environment today… it is impossible not to see the emergence of the offspring of the previous Fascist public organizations such as the Hitler’s Brown Shirts and Mussolini’s Black Shirts… the only real question is.. will the TEA Shirts wear Beefy T’s like Fonzi sported under his leather jacket?… or will they go for the less stylish but more meanacing Wife Beater variety of T-Shirt? I dunno… for now it seems to be TBA….. to be announced…
so ya… we will go through fascism again… the world will eventually band together and turn on us… the Ruling Class and the Govts they own will eventually suck the last dollars out of the working class… the working class will finally quit bickering amongst themselves… they will quit looking down in an attempt to point out where the problem is… they will eventually all look up… up is where the problem is… it aint the socio-economic class below your class that is causing you greif.. taking your job, using your public tax dollars.. it aint the black, the brown, the yellow, the mix breed mongrels.. it aint the pols, or the jews, or the gays… it aint the italians, the Wops, the Spics or the Irish… it has NEVER been any of these groups… it has NEVER been those below …. it has ALWAYS been those above… the Ruling Class… the Kings and Queens.. the Industrialists.. the Capitalists… the Greedy McGreedsters that oppress you and tell you that your oppressor is the new comer, the new kid, the class below you… if only you would attack them… if only you would blame them… if only you would eliminate them… then all your problems would disolve and melt away like a snowball, rolling down hill on hot asphalt, headed for hell.
fight those below u… your problems will disappear… ya… right… sure they will… look up people … not down… just sayi’….

speaking of the Military Industrial Comlex, War Machines, Capitalism and Socialism… lets try a little thought experiment… shall we… this was inspired by, in in some cases i am directly qouting or paraprasing my friend Joan here… but I think it is a great thought experiment…. I jope it can become a thought VIRUS one day:)
Let me see if I can formulate this in a way that is easy to grasp… even if youve never thought about this before…
so there are a few tribes about… few tools… no weapons… they are peaceful and agrarian… living off the land… but not going into the Jungle… where there are more resources but there are Lions and tigers and bears, oh my….
A person builds the first bow and arrow. No one else has one… they see it has potential for killing lions and tigers and bears… oh my… and perhaps some see the potential it has to kill other people… and so… everyone else wants one, at least the men who go out and face the lions n tiger n bears want them. Let’s say there are ten men in the tribe. There is great demand for each weapon.
A second fellow starts making bows and arrows. Pretty soon every adult male in the tribe has one.
The first tool maker thinks the second tool maker is cheating him cuz he copied his product… he wants intellectual rights to his invention… he doesnt want others making the same product and underselling him. In a capitalist society, the force of violence – police, courts, fines, imprisonment would protect the first maker of bows and arrows…. even if it did NOT benifet the tribe… cuz wouldnt the whole tribe be better off if everyone had a bow and arrow? If everyone made their own? or traded something of value in kind for one another made? how can it be ok that ONE person reap the benifit of the idea for a bow and arrow at the expense of his tribe? hmmmm… thats kind of a side question here… lets get back to the original tribe that is not a capitalist society… but more like say… the Iroqouis Indian federation… so… one tribesman is mad at the other for making bows and arrows and they get into a fight and one kills the other or they kill each other.
ya still with me?
Another fellow in the tribe starts making bows and arrows and several others start up their own little enterprises. There are too many weapons for the tribe – their labor has produced excess value beyond USE VALUE… and so they start to market to the neighboring tribes. Pretty soon there are lots of weapons… weapons everywhere… weapons for all to take care of the lions and tigers and bears – OH MY… weapons everywhere… and if you build them, they will be used. They will be used not only for lions and tigers and bears… but to make war on each other… so one tribe can dominate the other… taking their crops… their women… their land… taking the Bear skins, the Lion meat and the Tigers penis.. cuz they think eating it makes the viril… right?…
So now… lets put on our John Lennon rose colored glasses for a moment shall we?…Let us imagine, on the other hand, when one tribesman invents the first bow and arrow, the ten fellows of the tribe – or better yet… the ten fellows and their ten wives:)… sit down and discuss how many weapons they need to protect and feed the community. Other fellows have other talents, fishing, building water ponds, I don’t know what they need but you get the point. The tribe or society sits down and hashes out what they NEED… what they need to produce to satisfy their needs… how many weapons? how uch crops? how many lions and tigers and bears? See….? They are not in competition with each other over a tool, a weapon, the bow and arrow, the crops, the skins, the meat, the penises… but rather are in cooperation together to provide for the good of the tribe. For the well being of the tribe… or put another way… “to provide for the gerneral welfare of the people”…. sound familiar? The goal is to see that all members of the tribe have food, shelter and care. The focus is on the welfare, the wellbeing, the good of the tribe.
hmmm…. interesting thought experiment… what if we collectively got together and decided what would be good for We the People…? what if the decisions of our Gov’t refected the Will and the Wisdom of the poeple… what if the Tribe got together and rejected Patents, copyrights, the whole concept of intellectual porperty? what if the tribe got together and only produced enough weapons to provide for DEFENSIVE protection from other tribes? and Offensive wepons for Lions and Tigers and bears?
what if? what would that be like? what would that smell like? taste like?
Tastes a lot like liberty and freedom to me… smells like democracy… I love the smell ofDemocracy in the new Morning! sounds like a great way to persue life liberty and happiness… while seeing to the General Welfare of the Citizenry…
that is what it tastes like.. sounds like… smells like… so that leaves the question… what would it BE LIKE?…
That, my friends, would BE like… umm… Socialism. thats what it would be like…
